Segments

Cairn matches your activities against segments using PostGIS. Each matched effort is timed and ranked, producing leaderboards (KOM/QOM-style) across the users on your instance. Segment definitions imported from providers (e.g. Strava segment efforts reference their segments) are first-class entities.

Best-efforts

For supported activity types, Cairn automatically detects best efforts over standard distances/durations from your stream data, and tracks personal records. New PRs trigger notifications as part of the import follow-ups.
